Isabelle 'Bella' Delauney
My name is Isabelle Delauney, or “Bella” as I like to be called. I spent the first 24 years of my life growing up in Appaloosa Plains. I lost my French-decent mother when I was two years old, leaving my German-decent father and granny to raise me.
I guess you want to know a little about me, so….my favorite color is grey, I like pretty much all types of music, and love peanut butter and banana sandwiches. You want more? Okay. I love animals, all kinds, have since I was little and first stepped outdoors. I love being out in nature, taking pictures and just breathing in the air. It relaxes me. I’ve got a tattoo on my back of a flower, multiple ear piercings, a monroe piercing, and my navel is pierced. I doubt myself sometimes, but I’m working through that. Oh, and I am all into my little pony because friendship is magic!
I lost my heart to horses the first time my father, who happens to be a professional horse trainer, took me to his equestrian center. Any free time I had, you could always find me there pestering the grooms, riders, and even the horses. When I was a teenager I often helped with the care of the horses and one evening about 2 1/2 years ago I was the only one able to calm down a mare who was having her first foal. I was scared, but realized that she was terrified. When the little foal was born, she stood up and came straight to me! It was love at first sight for us both. I named her Hyacinthe and we’ve been inseparable ever since. I just love the natural grace and speed of horses and secretly wanted to become a professional Akhal Teke Breeder since i saw a Teke the very first time.
My dear granny recently passed away, but before she did she encouraged me to pursue my dreams and told me of a wonderful location – Moonlight Falls – and about the home and inheritance waiting for me there when granny was gone. And the best part, granny owned a large amount of land that gives me the oportunity to build all facilities i need for breeding and training Akhal Tekes!
So I followed granny’s advice to make my dreams come true – I hugged my father goodbye, packed up all my stuff, loaded Hyacinthe into the horse trailer and headed off to Moonlight Falls.
